Royal Mauian 309 is a newly renovated luxury condo for the guest who wants a total immersion in Maui’s ultimate beach experience. A fully functional kitchen was outfitted by its Northern California owner, who set the condo up as a comfortable, high-end second tropical experience. They took the renovation deep, even replacing the condo’s original windows.
The Master Suite features a King bed with a brand-new hotel-level luxury mattress. The shower was artfully renovated. The unit features new paint, flooring, fans, fixtures, and cabinets. It’s set up to host four in style, with a sleeper sofa in the living room.
Icing on the cake: the Royal Mauian’s private penthouse barbecue and viewing deck, with arguably the best views of the Kihei shoreline, outside a helicopter. Gas grills, a fridge, table, and sink are open to guests of this unit, and it’s an amazing place to wind down your day over beverages. We loved our stay. The place is in great shape, very clean and every detail has been thought about. Sitting on the deck watching the sunsets are just perfect. Being on the 3rd floor means you have views from everywhere that you can leave open since it looks out on the ocean. It was so lovely to wake up to staring at the ocean from bed.
I can't say enough nice things about this place. The aircon is also great for those muggy days.

The unit is within walking distance of a couple of small grocery stores, restaurants, and other businesses that rent snorkel equipment etc. Easy access to the sandy part of the beach. We were entertained by a group of sea turtles swimming up and down the beach. Management company was responsive when we had a couple of minor issues. Would stay here again

You really can't beat the location of this place for a holiday. Being in Kihei one can travel easily east or west to Maui's sights but why would you want to leave this excellent spot? The condo was clean, well appointed, with wave sounds and beach and sunset views, and had all the amenities for both living well and beaching well. Charley Young beach (Kam 1) is superb for walks and swimming and snorkeling. Check in with VRBO was simple and they were very attentive during our stay. Thank you for a most memorable vacation. We'll be back!

We've stayed at two other units at the Royal Mauian and this one was the nicest in terms of appearance and furnishings! The location in the bldg provides a great sunset view and of Kama'ole I beach. The beach chairs and umbrella are quality Tommy Bahama pieces. There were a few items that were missing or needed improvement, but the mgmt co. took care of those within a day of our mentioning them! The one item that is lacking is that the dryer function of the washer/dryer combo unit is either broken or disabled, and you have to hang dry any laundry you want to do. The pre-loaded laundry detergent mentioned in an earlier review is not a problem as we emptied the tank and put in a non-fragrance/dye detergent that the mgmt co. supplied upon our request (due to allergies). We were worried about elevator noise as the #9 units share a wall with the elevator shaft, but it's not noticeable at all. Overall, the unit and location are really nice, and the mgmt co. is very responsive and accommodating.

We had a wonderful time here! The condo is beautiful with an amazing ocean view that you could only get at a premium at most hotels. It came fully stocked with beach towel, high quality beach chairs and an umbrella. The unit was very quiet and everyone staying at the complex was very kind and respectful. The bed was very comfortable and we loved being able to walk to the beach and restaurants/food trucks nearby. Perfectly located and convenient to get to the airport and other parts of Maui. Highly recommend! The host was very accommodating and communicative. We truly had the best vacation here!

The unit was perfectly placed on the shore! Very clean and management was very quick when I had questions. We would recommend this unit for anyone. Just a couple of suggestions: Maybe not use scented detergent in the washer/dryer. Many people (us included) are scent-sensitive and have skin issues that can't tolerate scents. Since the washer was already loaded with detergent, we couldn't add our own unscented detergent. Also, you have done such a nice job of rehab on the unit, it would have been nice to have matching silverware and enough of it to last more than 2 days. We ended up having to wash most so we could have to eat with. Great stay otherwise!

This unit was advertised with a washer and dryer. There was a combo unit that may have had a working dryer, however the dryer did not work and could not be fixed! The owner has a sign on the unit stating that there was a foldable wire drying rack to use. Not acceptable for the money paid! This is false advertising and I made the management company aware. They did compensate some. Also the bedroom windows were disgustingly filthy and you could not see the beach We have stayed in the building several times and love the other units and location.

Absolutely stunning balcony views, from sunrise to sunset. This is about as close you can get to ocean without being in the ocean. Loved hearing the waves lapping at night.Apartment is equipped with chairs and towels for a great beach day. You can literally walk from door step into the ocean and snorkel with turtles and tropical fish. Be sure to hit the water early for snorkelling or surfing, the trade winds whip up by noon. The building parking lot was ample and easy to find a space each night, very handy. Kitchen was suitably equipped for a short stay. But be sure to check drawers/cupboards for supplies before going out and cooking any large or elaborate meals.Location is fantastic in between Kihei and Wailea. Walking distance to shops and food trucks and The Cove. Very quiet at night.Would happily stay here again!

My husband and I stayed 10 days ay Royal Mauian 309, and absolutely loved our stay. We encountered an issue with the tv when we first arrived and reached out to management. They were great responding quickly and resolving to our satisfaction. I have noted with mngt that it would be helpful to guests to add a couple items to kitchen, such as a can opener, but we were very pleased with everything. We would definitely chose this location and condo again.

This place had so much to offer. Fully equipped kitchen, all cooking supplies/spices you need. Highlights —>couples of lunch box for us to pack fruits to take to the beach. That's sweet. They provided all the beach essentials, like cooler, umbrella, and beach chairs. Washer and drying rack were very useful after we came back from beaches. The host did communicate with us regarding to the neighbour unit is under construction. We stayed for 1 weeks, only heard noisy for 2 weekdays.

Perfect romantic gateway. The location of this unit is outstanding. Look out from your bed to palm trees swaying in the wind and the sound of waves crashing on the rocks. You are steps away from the beach, coffee shops and restaurants. If you visit at the right time you are sure to see Hawaiian Sea Turtles daily, that was a highlight. We will definitely return.

This place was nothing short of amazing. The pictures are on point. The view is amazing. My husband and I will be back. We wish we would have stayed here sooner and our trip. We stayed at the Hyatt, which was amazing, but for the value this place was by far better and the view well that was our favorite listening to the waves crash at night was amazing having the beach literally steps away, I just can't say anything bad about this place. The owners were quick to respond if you had questions walking distance to all sorts of neat little places, you'll enjoy your stay here if you book it.

We've stayed in many different Kihei locations over the years. This spot is by far the best. Great location between Kameole 1 & 2 beaches. Lots of walkable restaurants. Great people/turtle watching from the third floor lanai. Other than a couple trips to Costco, you'll never have to get in your car. Great host as well. We're definitely coming back.

I give this condo a three. It has the potential to be so much better, but there were some major short coming that effected our trip and would cause us not to stay again. The condo definitely needs a new mattress and pillows. I actually went to Ross and purchased pillows because the pillows were flat, smelly and stained. The mattress is very old with an old stained topper that does not fit the mattress and causes the sheets to constantly pull off. The closet smelled bad which is where the dresser is placed. It just smells like sweat and dirt :( The other really frustrating element was the washer/dryer combo. It took 4 - 5 hours for one wash and covered our clothes in lint. We ended up taking our clothes to the cleaners. The freezer door only opens half way. The couch is dated and really uncomfortable. The pros of this condo are the OCEAN VIEW , A/C, chairs and umbrella for the beach, great tv and sound system. Location is great! Property was beautiful and close to everything. The property managers were very responsive and easy to work with. So, because smell and cleanliness are very important to me I would not stay here again. I hope these things will be corrected because the unit has such great potential.

There are restaurants, snorkel rentals and shops right across the street! The beach is your own private back yard. There is a grassy area with lounge chairs steps away from the sandy beach. This condo was perfect for our 9 days in Maui. It is right on the beach where we were able to do some fantastic snorkeling and swimming with the turtles. The room faces the ocean and has amazing views.
We went on several excursions like hiking and biking, a couple tours and a luau, and nothing was more than 20 minutes away.
The bed was super comfortable! Everything you need as far as shopping and eating is right across the street. We can?t wait until we can schedule another trip and stay here again!
Our family stayed in this condo for a week in June and it was wonderful. Our 13 and 15 year olds slept on the pull-out queen sofa and while it wasn't ideal, we hung out on the balcony mostly because the views are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The master has a king and stunning views, and a TV where the kids (and us) could watch shows if we wanted. Washer/dryer helped a ton. The Royal Mauian is a great condo complex. Nice one-bedroom condo in Kihei. It's on the ocean side of the street, so the view out to the Pacific is great. Very nice to eat on the patio with the ocean view. Very convenient to food trucks, restaurants, beaches, and the Kihei boat ramp for day-trips. TV and Wifi were good too. Parking was easy.

My wife and I have stayed at the Royal Mauian for many years. It is a wonderful location and the unit we stayed in, 309, was clean and well appointed.

Beautiful property, the photos do not do it justice. Very well stocked with kitchen amenities and plenty of bathroom towels. Beach chairs were a nice addition. Minimalistic decor which is perfect for a small family (not a lot of small decor for kids to grab)
The condo is beautiful, newly remodeled and felt so lovely to be in. 5 Stars! Book this spot!

Condo has been recently remodeled and is very well appointed. It was quite a bit more expensive than any other property we have stayed at in this same complex, but it was all that was available so we booked it. Still worth every penny!!

As I said to the hosts. The space was as advertised. An outstanding offer in the heart of Kihei. An amazing experience overall. The weather was perfect when it wasn?t great on the rest island. A lot of food options. Great amenities. A much better option for the value. Condo over resort for sure. We were able to catch sea turtles, rainbows, and epic sunsets from the lanai. The condo was spotless and updated.

Great 1 bedroom condo with ocean view from every room. A downfall is towels are either mini sized or stain and tattered and we are not a fan of washer/dryer all in one combo ... 5 hours of noise. Overall, you can't go wrong. Right on the water, comfortable, and a full kitchen. Property manager was easy to work with and accommodating. Thank you ...

This was our first time visiting Hawaii and it did not disappoint! The condo is exactly as described with ocean views and a very short walk to the beautiful beach. The condo was very clean and well stocked for our stay. We would definitely return!
