We had a very relaxing vacation. The pool and BBQ area were really nice to come home to after exploring Maui. The air conditioning worked great and the kitchen had everything we needed including a blender. We would stay here again in the future.

Amenities were as advertised, with no surprises (which is definitely a good thing). Location was even stocked with some reef safe sunscreen (probably from previous guests). We were just a few minutes walk from an ABC store for supplies, the food truck park, and the beach, so A for the location A couple of items needed repairs, but did not bother our stay in any way, and the host will be fixing them for the next stay. The host was highly responsive, with replies within minutes, and an extensive communication plan was laid out with all the stay instructions easy to find in one big email. Only ruffle in our stay was that. We extended our stay for a late checkout/evening flight and we got auto locked out by the system, but within 15minutes we had our door unlocked with a new access code. If you're changing your original stay length, make sure they extend your door code as well!

The unit is exactly as described on VRBO. The bed in the bedroom and the sofa bed are both very confortable. The place is quiet. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner on the balcony, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. The pool (nice and clean) is great to cool off after a day at the beach. There is a lot of beach gear (chairs, sun umbrella, cooler,…) that we found very useful. The location is perfect. Many beaches and snorkeling spots to explore all the way to the end of the south shore (always a short distance by car). The beaches and snorkeling spots all the way to the north shore do take 45-60 minutes to reach, but it is worth it !! The north is beautiful!! And time goes fast when you are looking at the beautiful scenery. We didn't have any problem communicating with Vacation-Maui by mail or phone. They are always very friendly and if they don't have an answer to a question right away, they do come back with an answer as quick as possible.We did appreciate our stay at Kalama Terrace very much.

The spot was exactly what we needed for 2 people renting a car looking to explore the island. We were there during a storm and had no issues with runoff near the place. The balcony overlooking the pool is perfect for a morning coffee. It was more spacious than we were expecting to find as first timers in Maui. Lots a good walkable restaurants, shops and beaches near by but would still recommend renting a car to explore the island.

The room was fine but a bit hard to sleep due to the noise. The bedroom windows open up to the parking lot, and the AC requires one window to essentially be open. This means any noise in the parking lot echos through the room. If you're a light sleeper you will have a hard time. The host also required my email and would only communicate via email, even though I said I wanted to use the app. AirBNB suggests using the app so they can resolve disputes, so I found that a bit sketchy and inconvenient. I will not book anything at this condo complex or with the host again for these reasons.

All in all, we had a great stay! Regarding the cleaning: we think it was dusty when we arrived due to the nature of the environment (the breeze constantly bringing in dust from outside?), but also there were "dust bunnies" under furniture and in corners. When we asked for cleaning supplies they were provided very quickly by the host. We stayed for a month, so we had to do our own cleaning (or pay extra to have a cleaning service). Location is ideal. The unit is quiet and quite comfortable. We would stay again.

We were quite happy with our stay except for how the laundry facility was set up. The laundry is not coin operated but attached to an app. That's great except after one free load you are asked to fund your account which costs $25! So, as we needed 2 loads, we ended up paying $25 for 2 loads of laundry!!! I could have gone to the dry cleaner's for that! Something needs to be changed here.

We really enjoyed our stay, but we booked it knowing that our teens would alternate one on the pullout sofa and one on the sofa cusions on the floor. They absolutely didnt mind and the savings in staying in a smaller place enabled us to do more activities we wanted to do. The condo unit itself was clean and well appointed, and the lanai and pool area were great to have access to. There was a BBQ area as well but we didnt use it. We would absolutely stay here again! It was a great place to stay with all the necessities. It's an older property but the condo has been updated. It's comfortable and well stocked. We don't spend a lot of time in the room when we vacation so it was a great fit for us. Had a nice bed, hot shower, well stocked kitchen and all the beach stuff 😃. It is on the 3rd floor and no elevators so be prepared to carry your luggage up a couple flights of stairs. The parking stall is also narrow and against a wall so that was tricky getting in and out.

It's a nice place but some things could be better. We noticed the bathroom vent was dusty among some of other items in the bathroom. It's an older condo with some updates. Be forewarned, it's on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. So pack lightly. The parking space is small. So if you rent a car larger than a Jeep Grand Cherokee, it will not fit. But it was cozy and close to many local amenities as described.

Clean, everything worked well. Just a few small things to note - communication with property manager was very prompt but the information provided wasn't always accurate. For example, they advised there was no bodyboard so we organized to rent one, but we got there and there was one in the apartment. There was also a surfboard under the bed and golf clubs in the closet. I'm unsure why the company doesn't advertise these awesome things! It would be nice to provide other small things like pen and a notepad for example. The A/C worked very well but noisy so we turned it off at night. The bedroom fan was enough cooling for the time of year we were there. The location was excellent, short walk from Charley Young beach / Kam 1 beach and nice and quiet in the complex at night. The laundry is operated with an app not coins, your first use is free on the app. Overall a great choice for a trip to Maui!

The property & unit are NOT accessible or accommodating for those with mobility issues. The property is very old (50+years) so no elevator, curb cuts, disability parking, etc. No recycling option. The unit does not have laundry facilities; it is in a separate building & coin operated. Kitchen is well appointed & appliances modern. Good place for a single or couple but could be cramped for 3 or 4.

Couldn't have had a better stay. The place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Location was perfect right in the center of Kihei and only 1 block in / 2 minute walk from Charlie Young Beach or a slightly longer stroll to Kamala Beach Park. Lots of places to eat within a short walking distance. Great communication after making the reservation to make final payment and get teh key code and no problem with the check-in process. We had a small issue with the door lock on the day of checkout but called the number provided for the property management company and was connected to a live person right away and had it sorted out and fixed in just a few minutes. I would absolutely stay here again

We have stayed at this condo several times and having our morning coffee on the lanai which overlooks the swim pool, shaded by Plumeria trees never gets old. This condo is supplied with all our needs for sunning at our favorite beach which is just a short walk away. It was centrally located in South Kihei, within a block of South Kihei Road and only a short walk to Kalama Park and the Ocean. We had a lovely stay. The condo had everything we needed and was a real home away from home. Quiet as well. The nice beach nearby was a bonus. The pool was also great. Lugging your luggage up the stairs to the 3 Rd floor would be difficult for some people. Washing your towels as required was logisticallyhard as you need them to the last morning.

Stayed here for two weeks with my family. The unit was nice and newly renovated. It was close to the beach and it was quiet for sleeping at night. Lynne was really helpful in the booking process. The only thing I would suggest is to check the total owing in detail as I signed the rental agreement on a certain price a year in advance and Lynne informed me 3 months prior to arrival that she mis-calculated the total amount and requested that I pay the new total which was 100's more than the old calculation. This is a wonderful location, less than a block to the beach where we spent every evening watching the sun go down and the waves roll in! Ahhh...

The condo is close to the beach, to several supermarkets, bars and restaurants. It is absolutely recommendable. Furthermore, Lynne, the owner of the condo, is a very considerate and friendly person. Our stay was really nice. The bed was firm and comfy, and when we opened the windows above the bed we got a wonderful cross breeze. I highly recommend staying here if you are to be in town and are looking for something along the lines of a one-bedroom condo that is close to the beach, has a pool, is inexpensive, and very convenient, and an owner who cares.

This was our first time visiting Maui and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. Wothin a mile in either direction, there were plenty of places to eat and shop, go swimming, get groceries and gas, learn to surf, and so much more. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

The first impression you get is one of cleanliness and attention to detail, there are a lot of nice little touches that make Lynne's condo very appealing such as nice decor and practical additions like ironing board, drying rack etc.
The bed was super comfortable and I slept well every night which is an issue for me when I travel overseas. The kitchen was very well equipped and I was never in need of anything when I cooked my meals.

Great location- it was ten min walk to pubs and stores locally. Really nice setup inside with full kitchen. Comfy bed! The next door lot was under construction the last two days so some noise hopefully won?t be problem for long. AC worked great! Her communication was great with us and our questions :)

Lynne?s place is ideally located in Kihei. 1 block away from one of the most family oriented beaches in Maui (Charlie Young Beach). It is adequately stocked with most things you need to make your time easy and economical for making meals etc. The bed was so very comfortable and the place was spotless when we arrived

Lynne's condo seemed the best value of anything in the Kihei area. It's close to beaches, highways, and was nicely decorated for a better price than some less updated looking places. This is a clean, quiet condo in a lovely area. The beach was just a few minutes away and was beautiful - we even saw a few sea turtles. The location can't be beat. The beach items in the closet made all the difference - we LOVED having some beach chairs and a beach umbrella handy :) the pool was very nice and well maintained. We had a great stay at the Maui Melia condo! It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The many beach accessories (chairs, toys, a cooler, a beach umbrella, Maui travel books, and more) were very nice to use at the beautiful beach we could walk to. There were great food and site seeing recommendations by the property manager as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Her condo is perfect for the two of us and had all the essentials. We even took the boogie board out, highly recommend!! I was so pleasantly surprised by this beautiful condo!! Lynn did an amazing job of furnishing the place and used comfortable and colorful decor. It felt like home right away. The grounds were very well kept and the pool was constantly being cleaned. I was also grateful that the condo was priced well within budget and we could still enjoy some of the fun, touristy things that Maui had to offer (and of course all the yummy food!). We had the most magical experience and I absolutely cannot wait to go back!!!

The property is 3 blocks from the beach and not 1 as listed on the HomeAway posting. The unit itself was fine but a bit small. The air conditioner is right by the sliding door on the balcony and only is set to only blow air one way, it leaks moisture so be prepared to dump the water from the plastic container every two hours or so. There is no AC in the bedroom (only a small fan) so be prepared to be hot while you try to sleep. It?s also difficult to sleep due to the brightness from the window and the extre

Wish I would have known little things like location of laundry/ need of the pool key for entry to laundry, payment options for laundry (there's a pay app) etc. Going up and down the steps needlessly in the heat was a drag but it all worked out well. The AC was efficent but it was hard to get/keep the bedroom cool. The ceiling fans are not very powerful, but the small fan provided was strong and circulated air well enough. Our one bedroom unit had a brand new bathroom and kitchen with basic necessities. Everything was neat and clean. Plenty of beach & swimming supplies in closets. It includes an assigned parking space. and laundry facilities. You had to climb up flights of stairs to get to our unit on 3rd floor, but otherwise everything was fine.

Maui Melia was a perfect home base for our 12 days on Maui. It was very clean, lovely view of pool and natural surroundings, and easy access to Kihei and ALL the beaches!
Lynne was very responsive to all our questions and needs. It is obvious she cares about her property and the people that choose to stay @ Maui Melia.
Loved the homey feel and getting to know some of the local residents of Kalama Terrace. The pool was so clean and We loved the lights in the evening.

My daughter and I traveled to Maui for Spring Break, unfortunately the other members of our family couldn?t join us so we rented this unit which was perfect for the two of us, (3 would work as well)
Everything we needed was included and the minor issues were quickly resolved. If we were given such a high level of service for a mid-level property, I can only imagine what is done at the high end.

My family has stayed at this condo in the past but this unit, in particular, was comfy and cozy. We loved having a view of the pool and trees just outside the balcony. We ate meals on the balcony quite a bit since the weather was so great. We appreciated having beach gear and towels to take with us. My kids wanted boogie boards but they ended up preferring to surf. A couple of issues we had was the fridge leaked from the inside creating small puddles on the top shelf, so we didn't store very much on the top

There were some great spots in Kihei to visit and since it?s in the middle of the island it didn?t take long to drive to the airport, Road to Hana, or the beaches along the resorts. We loved our month-long stay working remotely here! The location is awesome, more local than other populated areas. The short walk to the beach was great. We definitely recommend this air bnb and Kihei overall for your next stay on Maui! WiFi had a few issues but it might be that way on a lot of places on the island. We were still able to work. It?s extremely close to the beach <5min walk and they provided us with beach chairs beach towels and an umbrella. It?s also just a short walk from all the shops/grocery store and has an assigned off street parking spot. The ONLY thing we came across that could be improved was how squeaky the bed was. There were A/C in the living room & bedroom so it helped us cool down after a long day at the beach. The bed was a bit squeaky, but everything else was great. Parking is free and close to the unit.

Convenient and safe location, with parking included! Comfortable bed, good supply of towels, appreciated the kitchen being stocked with utensils and cookware. We loved the patio to enjoy breakfast/coffee. This was a perfect home to come home to at the end of the day! Walls seem a bit thin, but that didn?t affect the overall value for us. I recommend!
