Spacious, Great Location, and Responsive Management. Our party of eight—four adults, two grandparents, and two kids (ages 6 and 9)—had a wonderful stay. The property matches the photos perfectly, and the layout provided the ideal balance of shared spaces and privacy for a multi-generational group. We loved the warm welcome with fresh flowers and a card. Location & Amenities The location is unbeatable: an easy walk to Wailea Beach, local shops, the property pool, and the main road. The home was clean and fully stocked with everyday supplies to keep things tidy during our stay.Maintenance & ServiceWe did run into several frustrating appliance issues during our stay—including a bedroom ceiling fan breaking, an AC unit that stopped cooling due to a very dirty filter, a non-heating dryer, a non-functioning stove hood, and faulty outdoor grill igniters. Management was able to fix everything except the last two issues during our stay. They were prompt, respectful, and genuinely dedicated to resolving every issue they could. Technicians arrived quickly, provided temporary solutions (like bringing a portable fan while a replacement was ordered), and management worked with us directly to reach a fair, mutual agreement for the inconvenience. Overall While the appliance hiccups were unfortunate, the management response, incredible location, and spacious design made this a memorable family vacation. We would gladly return as all issues should be resolved.

The good: large condo with lots of space to hang out, comfortable sofa and beds. Convenient location.The not so good: lanai is great but it is right next to a busy road so it is quite noisy with car traffic. The kitchen is dated.Really not good: this condo is not managed by the The Grand Wailea (large hotel across the street) so you do not have access to hotel pools and do not have access to pool towels at the condo complex pool.Final issue: We had an entire day of maintenance on the condo while we were there. They were replacing key pads on the front door and garage door. There was drilling, workers coming and going - I was on work calls and had to work in the bathroom for quiet. We had no warning. I let the property manager know - they said it was not their fault, they also were not notified. This is because the unit is managed by a separate propery management company. I get that stuff happens but when you are paying a lot of and on vacation you should not have a day of workers, noise and inconvenience for planned maintenance. I got an apology over the phone and that was it. Bad service.

This was a beautiful home and excellent location for us. There were six adults in our family and we each had our own room and bathroom, which was very nice. The air conditioner work nicely and the management team was very prompt that we had. The pool was very close and nice to sit by and we could walk to several beaches nearby. The property had chairs and towels, and a wagon which was super sweet to use. It was well stocked with items that we needed to use for a simple cooking or paper products. The shop was close by to go to the store which was convenient and Costco was a big plus coming from the airport to get food for all of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. If there were two things I could fix to make the stay more comfortable, I would say the second bedroom downstairs with the king bed needs a dresser. It was hard for my daughter and her husband to put their clothes away in drawers for the week with no dresser in that room. The other caution is when you use the grill, it creates a lot of smoke and there is no fan or downdraft on the grill so it fills the patio up with smoke and makes it hard to eat out there after you've cooked something on the grill. The ceiling fans were not adequate so be aware if you set the table and then grill your food you may have to move indoors to eat other than that. It was a great property Mahalo.

This rental is very close to the hotel for a go between to attend the conference and catch up with our children at the end of the day. We stayed at the rental with them when the conference was over. In general the villas at Ho'olei are quite well appointed. This unit is located at the front of the complex not far from the entrance gates and a short walk to the pool. The pool is very nice as it is far less busy and includes two hot tubs. The pool area also has a small gym and nice bathrooms with shower and saunas. The unit itself is also nice - it is a split level - so be prepared for stairs. There is a lanai on each floor which is quite nice, but due to the location within the complex, you are going to hear all the road noise from Wailea Aulani which is the main road for the surrounding resorts.

The place at Ho'olei was beautiful. The condo was gorgeous and we loved the ability to open up the whole sliding doors onto the lanai. Everything we needed was provided. Location was amazing as the complex was quiet and private (road noise was present but minimal). There were days where we had the whole pool to ourselves. The proximity to the Grand Wailea was also a perk for those days when we wanted to explore the hotel, eat and drink at one of the great restaurants, and play on the beach. It was nice to have the amenities of a larger hotel close by and the quietness of our own condo and space to retreat to. Wailea is a quieter part of Maui that we love with plenty of places to go and beautiful beaches to visit.

The close access to the beach at Grand Wailea, the spacious kitchen & living room and the beautiful on-site pool and spa within feet of our Unit made this the perfect setting for 7 adult family members to come and go in small groups. We did have to put ALL of our unsealed food in the fridge when we found bugs in our freshly purchased bread. They were a kitchen presence throughout our stay regardless of my constant soap & water clean ups. The air conditioning was often @76 (a bit hot) even though we set it at 73. Otherwise - a really perfect place to stay!!!

We loved our stay. We really love the location. A good thing to note is that unlike the condo we stayed in last year at same place this condo is independently owned. This is still great but it doesn't come with access to the pool at the grand Wailea. As long as you are aware of this it is fine. The pool you have access to is fantastic. We love it and our family thoroughly enjoyed our time. The teenagers were a bit disappointed with the non-access to the grand Wailea pool area due to living the activities there but outlet toddlers and adults were as happy as can be. Overall family vacation was a win!

All good with this residence. Location great grounds beautiful. Had a few minor issues with air conditioning unit as was not working properly upon arrival. It took 2 days to fix. They were diligent and resolved. Key cards kept demagnetizing and had to be replaced twice. Other than those 2 minor issues would definitely recommend.

This villa was well worth it. we found the beach across the street was among the best ones we found our entire stay time on the island. I loved that the rental included beach chairs, umbrella, wagon, cooler, and beach towels. these added amenities make for a perfect worry free stay while you are in Maui, check in process is a breeze and the property management is very communicative and respond to any questions or concerns quickly. my only criticism is about the beach chairs and equipment; it is nice that these are included but we found that many of there chairs and wagon were worn out. they still did the trick but could defiantly stand to be replaced.

The property itself is amazing. The area along with the pool was perfect for our family and friends. However, on the first day upon arrival we noticed that the air conditioning unit was struggling to keep up. On both ac unit controllers there are instructions to please keep the ac set at 73 degrees. Being respectful to the property owner/management for the first day we did so thinking that it would take some time to cool the property. After day three of the property not cooling below 80 and having a high humidity level a phone call was placed to the management company. This call was placed on Wednesday July 26. Our party arrived on July 24 and consisted of elderly adults along with adults with preexisting medical issues. The management company was helpful made no promises that the issue would be fixed. It was not until Friday, July 28 that an HVAC technician responded to the property. The technician was awesome/helpful. But with that being said I was not able to leave the property along with all of our valuables alone, so it was necessary to stay there the entire time the HVAC crew was at the property. The final diagnosis: all ac filters were clogged and needed changing. The outside condenser was filthy and need flushing. The unit itself had a Freon leak which meant there was no Freon to cool the unit. With that being said I don't understand how the unit could be advertised as “Central Air Conditioning” without knowing the unit did not work and could not cool.

Eight of us from ages 52 to 82 stayed in this very nice condo for a week. This place is as pictured and is quite roomy. It has an elevator which came in quite handy for our two older girls. The one terrible thing about this place is that the humidity inside is really bad -about 73%. The beds, couch, towels and everything else made of cloth all felt wet. We turned the a/c to 73 to try and dry the place up but that did not work. There was also not enough room in the tv area to accommodate more than 5 people and we would've liked to have been able to seat 3 more. The pool area is absolutely beautiful and you might need to go there when it is windy. The condo is close enough to the beach if you are able to walk however, we were unable to use Wailea beach much because of the wind. The ocean was very rough because of it. We ended up having to travel up north to find beaches we could actually visit where the water was calm. IDK when the winds change. The area is very beautiful and there are plenty of choices when it comes to dining and shopping. I would not hesitate to stay there again once they take care of the humidity issue.

The place was great. Location to the pool is worth the noise from the road and the pool is fabulous and felt uncrowded every time we went. We walked across the street to Wailea Beach and found it to be unbelievably crowded. We found that the quick drive to McKenna Beach or Po?olenalena Beach was totally worth it. We were a group of seven ranging in age from 7 to 70. The condo layout was excellent. Lots of privacy. The kitchen was equipped with everything one could need. The outdoor kitchen was also well equipped with grilling tools etc. Gorgeous pool! Easy five minute walk the beach. A shopping center with a market and great shops was a 15 minute walk. Renting this unit was fairly easy, responsive staff. On arrival , we all put on our socks. Found out that floor was not cleaned very well. Ask for service which came quickly. Was a little disappointed with the ? gourmet ? kitchen. Not supplied very well. All 3 men in our party are experienced cooks. One owns a restaurant! Knifes and pots and pans need a upgrade or additional equipment. We planned to cook some family favorites because local restaurants were hard to get into. Location was wonderful, bedrooms

The Ho?olei 12-2 was a perfect property for our family vacation. Our adult children each had their own rooms with en-suites. The common great room expanded onto the lanai with wall to wall doors. The unit has the best location on the property with short walks to the pool, beach and shops.

The area is beautiful and the location close to the pool was ideal. There was some road traffic noise we could hear if we sat on the lanai. There was a glitch with the keys not opening the front door but we were able to access the condo using the garage. The property management quickly fixed the key problem and a couple other minor issues (coffee maker & ice maker). Overall an enjoyable time in Wailea.

This place exceeded our expectations! The house was super clean and it had a ton of appliances. The home was equipped with everything we needed so it made our stay easy. This place is located in a very safe, gated community just minutes from the beach. The community pool and gym were awesome additions and staff was very helpful. Our group of 8 adults really loved this space. We were impressed when we arrived. It is spacious and new. The kitchen was very well-stocked with appliances, and we enjoyed all of our meals outside on the balcony. It's a short walk to the beach, and beach supplies are provided. First, the location of this property is great; there are tons of restaurants, public beaches with good sand and snorkeling, and some shopping nearby. We never took advantage of walking to the beach in the Grand Wailea, but the hotel is really beautiful, so I'm sure the beach is great too.

Our family recently rented this unit, along with a second one the family owns just steps away, for our daughter's wedding in January. The wedding was held at a private estate down Makena Road, making this location ideal.
We were absolutely delighted with this unit, which is larger than the photos indicate, and features everything necessary for a stress-free vacation. There was ample room for our daughter's wedding party and other guests, and for get-togethers with all our guests.

Our family spent 10 days at Ho'olei in February 2010. It was our best vacation, by far. The place is 5 Star+, very welcoming and comfortable. Everything from beds to kitchen to view were outstanding. It felt like we never left home, except.....we were in Maui!!!!

Thank you for letting us rent your home for the week. We had more than enough space to feel at home and only wish we could have stayed longer.
Our three kids (ages 9, 13, 15) enjoyed having their own space and loved that the pool was only a short walk away. (If you have younger children, the home has a nice lawn in the backyard for them to expend energy.) It was also nice to be within walking distance to The Shops at Wailea--especially Lappert's!

We loved our week at Hoolei in Maui. It was perfect in every way for me, my wife, our two 4-year old twin girls, and my mother-in-law. The whole family under one roof with plenty of room for all. This is an outstanding condo - it is very spacious and very clean we felt right at home -- our plans changed at the last minute and there were only 4 of us traveling, so the third bedroom went unused, but it did give us a few extra towels to use! This was my first time in Hawaii and this place is beautiful. The maintenance guy at the place was so helpful, even helped us pack all our stuff in the house. Being right across the street from the Grand Wailea was pretty cool too. Not too far from shopping, eating and just laxing in the sun. Would differently stay here again. Perfect rental for a large family or group. Our family of 6 (2 parents and two married couples) had plenty of space to gather, cook meals together, etc. Laundry in unit was a bonus. I?ve stayed at many locations in Maui and other islands. This has been the best housing we?ve found to date. It was as advertised, and the location to the pool and front entry are key to making this location ideal for families with you kids. We walked to the beach daily and hit the pool on our way back. The house is in great shape with great decor and appliances. We left some clothes behind and when I reached out they located the items and fed ex?d Them to us.

We loved the location - while the S2 unit is close to the street, we didn't find any road noise to be bothersome at all, and loved that the condo is so close to the pool and a very short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants. It was a first stay in Ho'olei and was a mixed experience. The rental property located in a beautiful gated area in Wailea which offers access to pool and gym and few minutes walk to Wailea beaches. The house is exactly the same as shown in the pictures and had plenty of room for 3 couples and a teenager (our case).

Everything at this villa was high end and first class. We were a family of six adults and an infant and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Eric met us upon our arrival to welcome us and gave us instructions on how to operate the main gate and the villa's doors and garage door and the A/C and where everything was.
