We really enjoyed our stay at this property. A big part of why we booked this listing was the balcony with direct ocean view and it did not disappoint! My husband and I spent most mornings reading our books or just watching the sea turtles surface in the ocean over breakfast and it was very relaxing. You can actually watch the sea turtles come ashore at sundown at this property which was very neat! Our two young children used the pool almost every day and although the beach directly in front of the building is limited, if you walk 5 minutes down the road there is a beautiful sandy beach. There were some restaurants and shops at the nearby Maalaea Wharf, as well as the aquarium at the Maui Ocean Center, and also the Maui Golf and Sports Park (mini golf/climbing wall/bumper boats/trampoline) within a 5 minute drive. Being fairly centrally located, Maalaea was a good jumping off point for us to take day trips to other parts of the island and only about 20 mins from the airport. There are many snorkel tours that leave from the nearby wharf (we did the Molokini Crater/Turtle Town one aboard the Calypso and it was great!) The suite was well-equipped and our children enjoyed the upstairs loft bedroom. During our stay the property did not seem to be very busy and was pretty quiet which was nice. Having a washer/dryer in the suite was great. Overall very happy with our stay and would return here!

This condo was amazing. Had everything we needed. The view from the balcony of the sea turtles in the ocean right in front of our room all day long was unexpected and the best part. The turtles come right up on the beach there at the condo during the night and sometimes during the day. We snorkeled all over the island and even in front of the condo. At the condo once you get out from shore a little ways the water is clear and the reef is alive. We took a snorkel tour from the marine just down the road and that was super easy being so close. Great pizza at Point Break. Great club and restaurants there as well. Ocean center is always nice. So there was fun stuff to do really close when we didn't feel like driving far. There is no A/C in the bedroom but with the windows open and the fan on it's ok. All in all we really feel in love with the condo the longer we were there.

The view is amazing and I couldn't have asked for better, however the units are older. Ours had been remodeled and even with that there was broken flooring outside upstairs bathroom. There were also gaps around the lanai windows and doors. On three separate evenings when there was no breeze, bugs came into the unit. The first night it was a swarm. The only advice we were given was to shut the windows which of course we had done. They were still getting in through cracks and around the a/c. Managment provided a small unit two floors down for us to sleep in. The next couple of nights weren't as bad but still enough bugs our three daughters slept in the other unit again. While it was nice for them to allow us to use the other unit, we were not able to be together as a family like we were the first number of days of our vacation. We lived in the south for many years so we understand bugs in hot climates- this was beyond that. They sent in a handy man to try to close up gaps the bugs were getting in from. They also sent in a cleaner after the first night of bugs but the cleaners did little and didn't even clean the bedding in the upstairs loft that I told Managment was full of dead bugs. There is air conditioning but it is a window unit on the ground of the lower level of the unit. It helps a bit in the front room but certainly isn't a split unit or central air and doesn't make much difference in to loft or back bedroom.

This was a perfect location for our month-long stay in Maui. One of our favorite things was watching whales and sea turtles from the lanai, while having our morning coffee. It's also in the center of Maui and provides easy access to the whole island. It's a short walk to the harbor where most of the ocean tours leave, saving 30 parking; and it's also near are the Maui Ocean Center (a must do!) and 2 great restaurants - Havens Harborside and Seascape.Although small, this condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. The location is wonderful with a great view from Lanai. We plan to come back to Maui again in 2 years and will be staying at this location again !!Big shout out to Jace, Ian, Jake (the maintenance guy) and Tom (the property manager). Jace accommodated our son's college interview time. Ian provided us the extra blankets. Jake was wonderful in fixing the toilet on time and Tom let me borrow his allen wrench to unjam the garbage disposal.

The view from the lanai was absolutely stunning and the condo had everything to be perfect for our vacation for a family of 4. The pool was beautiful and clean, turtles visited the beach daily, and the condo itself was perfectly set up. Great central location too to explore the whole island. There is only 1 Walmart on the entire island and the condo was only 15-20 minutes from it, so that was very helpful too. The only thing we found difficult was that our flight didn't leave until 5pm on our day of check out. We had planned to do some activities that day but realized that we would have to leave our luggage in the car because checkout was at 10am. We were told that theft from cars is high on the islands and not to leave anything in the car. We asked but we're not allowed to leave our luggage at the condo that day so that unfortunately made us unable to do much our final day. I completely understand, it's just good to be aware of if you plan to head out on your last day.

Awesome location and great hosts! 10/10 view and a perfect central spot for exploring the island. It's an older building, but very well kept and clean. The only minor things were the mattress could be a bit more comfortable and the ceiling fan had a small noise until we adjusted the setting. There is very nice local beach and park for morning runs just minutes away! The location is 15-20 minutes from other larger towns including the airport. Close by there isn't much but a Starbucks.

Overall had a great vacay at this condo. The location was perfect for us as centrally located and easy to get to different parts of the island. It is a very quiet area and beautiful quiet beach within minutes walk. We enjoyed eatching the ehales and turtles from the deck each morning and evening which was a nice feature. The condo served its purpose while a few small items could have been checked prior to pur visit such as making sure drains were working but the management werw quick to repolspond and addesss.

Our room we reserved was updated as best as could be but the overall property is dated. The hallways are dark and elevator was dated. Maalaea seems to be the most windy part of the island so be ready for the wind. There is only 1 AC in the condo which is in the living area. The back bedroom can get warm, so you need to sleep with the windows open. With the wind and noise from the outside, might make it hard to sleep at night.

The condo presented exactly like the pictures. I love Maalaea because it's quiet, on the bay and really centrally located. We treated our son and nephew for their high school senior trip. They lived the lift room and having their own bathroom, the views, breakfast on the lanai and Maui never disappoints. It's walking distance to sugar beach, the aquarium, the harbor and a few shops and restaurants. Great spot!

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at this property for 5 nights in March. The previous time we visited Maui, we stayed in Wailea, and found the location of this condo to be preferable due to its easy access to Kahului, Kaanapali, Kihei, and Kapalua. It was also very easy to get in and out of and parking was a breeze. We appreciated having two separate bathrooms and sleeping areas so that we could both have our privacy. Waking up to the amazing view was such a great way to start the day. Every day, we saw breaching humpback whales and sea turtles from the lanai. In fact, we took a whale watching tour and felt as though our view of the whales from our lanai was better! The kitchen was well stocked, which allowed us to save some money by cooking some of our meals and eating leftovers. The only drawbacks, which were small, were the noise from others walking past the window of the back bedroom which is located right off of the main walkway when you get off the elevator. And although there were window screens on the windows, when we opened up the windows to take advantage of the breeze and not have to use the AC, huge moths made their way into the condo. These were definitely not deal-breakers for us and we found ways to work around them. We would stay here again when visiting Maui.

This property was just as pictured on Vrbo. It was a beautiful spot to wake up in the morning and watch the whales breaching while enjoying a coffee on the deck. It was a quiet resort which was nice to come home to after a busy day out exploring the island. We found the pool area to be challenging for our 3 young children (10, 7 & 4) to fully enjoy in the way their age category likes to play in a pool as the property managers were very quick to tell them to not jump, splash, be loud or play any games in the pool (eg “Marco Polo”) on several occasions. It just felt very unrealistic, unfriendly and not very welcoming. The small sandy beach with rocky water access right in front of the property made for easy access to snorkelling (seeing lots of turtles!), paddle boarding and kayaking. Other than the property managements “passive aggressive” nature, we really enjoyed our vacation at this location.

We have never been to Hawaii before. This was our first time… and it was amazing! Our stay at this VRBO made it very easy and accommodating. It was well decorated and updated with the most wonderful views. I woke up early everyday before my family and sat on the baloney and watched for whales. It was my favorite part of the day! We spent most of our days over in Kihei with our friends, which was only a 12 minute drive. The neighborhood is welcoming and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The check-in process was easy and the condo was cooled on our arrival, which was much appreciated. The views from the condo were spectacular! We got to watch sea turtles swim in front of the condo and come up on the beach every night to sleep…..so cool! There were about 13 that did this every night and from what I understand, they have done so for 5 years. The condo was clean and appreciated that it was stocked with all of the essentials until we could go to the store. We had one issue with a toliet leaking and I called the management company and it was taken care of same day. Kitchen was stocked with all of the necessary kitchen supplies needed to cook meals. There is a grill outside that you can use as well. The pool and hot tube were great after a day of excursions. The only thing that would have made it better is a couple of more large box fans to help keep you comfortable while you sleep. There is one in the master and a small one upstairs. This place was amazing and we could not recommend it more!

This was our first time in Maui and this centrally located condo was a perfect jumping point for adventures. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful and we loved the pool and and condo amenities very much. The condo is walking distance to restaurants, beach and harbour. We enjoyed snorkeling and watching sea turtles and whales off our balcony! Beautiful decor and well equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer were handy and there was a closet full of beach supplies! Highly recommend!

We had looked forward to this stay for some time and unfortunately, I had a medical emergency requiring hospital stay due to a perforated colon and was not cleared to fly. That said, this is obviously no fault of the property and the correspondence I did have with the manager was very timely, polite, and concerned offering recommendations on what to do. I would recommend travel insurance for others as i did not see an option for it, but will look harder in the future. I will still give VRBO another shot in the future as i cannot place any wrongdoing to them as I would have made the same decisions as they did with a last minute cancelation of a stay.

We would eat breakfast watching the turtles right at the edge of the property. The location of the unit is a short drive to any where on the island. The condo was lovely , comfortable, and beautiful decorated. The central location was fantastic for exploring the island. The kitchen supplies (spoons, cooking utensils, plates...) could use some refresh...there were hardly any regular size spoons. Obviously not a major issue :-) We saw turtles every single day! We make a point of supporting sharing economy businesses, and especially enjoy the accommodations/services from hosts who are on the receiving end at times. Unfortunately, not this time with Vacation-Maui. Please be warned here first: Check-in: It was a bureaucratic and inefficient process which made an unexpected early (40min) arrival to check in absolutely impossible. Flawed interior design: Washer and Dryer are installed in the upstairs loft area with two single beds. This sleeping area heats up very quickly and gets super hot as soon as the dryer is turned on, which makes it impossible for my 10yrs old daughter to sleep in there.

Nicely remodeled condo. My family of four was comfortable. We rented a SUV and took day trips to explore all over Maui. Beautiful beaches 45 north and 25 minutes south. It took us a little over an hour to get to the top of the volcano. The airport is only about 15 minutes from the condo which is really nice after the long flights to get there.

Great location off the beaten path. No busy tourists areas. Everything is 20-30 min away! Access to beach on property where if you surf is great. Lots of surfers used this stretch of beach. We had an amazing time. The correspondence was incredible and prompt. Definitely recommend! Do not recommend bringing loud children as this seems to be an area where older adults stay. We had a noise complaint as we had a son with autism who occasionally has outbursts. It was hard to keep our children quiet even when they were just excited and squealing. I've been to Maui many times, but never stayed near Ma'alaea until now. Not only was this location central to both sides of the island which was amazingly convenient, but the location was less crowded which allowed us to come and go with ease. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 5 adults! The decor was fresh, the property grounds were clean and quiet, and there were plenty of chairs, swim toys, and other thoughtful items in the room that helped make our vacation one to remember. If it's your first time in Maui or your 10th, I highly recommend staying here!

The view is breathtaking! We watched sea turtles from the lanai every late afternoon! The condo was beautiful and offered every convenience appreciated by everyone! Really great place in a central location (20 min to Kihei, 20 min to Kahului, 30 minutes to Lahaina) with a gorgeous, unobstructed oceanfront view. Balcony faces SSE so no direct sun in morning or afternoon. Got to see lots of turtles swimming past the building every afternoon. They provide beach chairs, beach towels and an umbrella, which were all very much appreciated. Rental company was very responsive too.

I recently stayed with my family in unit 411 and it was AMAZING! The views are worth it alone. I stayed with my husband, infant children (5months, 1.5years), and my in-laws (grandparents). We enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning, the ocean sounds, and breeze. We saw some amazing turtles the first day we arrived. This condo accommodated all of us. My favorite part of this place was the fact that it had beach chairs, a cooler, snorkel gear, and shampoo, and a hairdryer. That was so nice to have when flying in. We didn?t have to go buy or rent anything. The turtles out in the water were so fun to watch everyday.

This was a great central location away from the crowds and that?s what we were hoping for. If you plan on exploring the entire island of Maui then I recommend highly the location. The room overlooks the ocean and we saw turtles swimming everyday. The snorkeling in front of the condo was also good.

it's baby proof. I had a problem with my daughter opening the front door several times and having to chase her outside.

Read Before You Book! Great location and we love the view. BUT, the cleanliness needs improvement! I don?t think we are too picky about cleanliness and I think the owner had good intentions but whomever they hired left pillow cases with stains, there were ants crawling around the kitchen, hair band left in the shower area and the towels looked like they may have just been brushed off instead of cleaned if they did not look wet.

I wouldn?t give up the views for anything! The condo had everything we needed but, the unit is hot. They have one window unit by the living area and a few ceiling fans. The loft and the master are in the back of the unit. It never got as cool as we?d like. The washer was broken when we came, but we were compensated for that mishap. Again, I wouldn?t give up the view!!

On the ocean, near the harbor, 15 min from Airport, 20 min from Lahina and Kihei and you don't feel like a tourist! The home was equipped with all essential items to include beach stuff! There is only 1 A/C in the living room, the upstairs stayed a bit warm and we could never close the door to the master because the tradewinds were much needed. The location is outstanding! You can watch whales, turtles and dolphins without even leaving the unit. It is also a short walk or drive to the pier for many of the dive and snorkel boats-which is a big deal at 6 am on vacation! Great location! We loved being in a quieter area but only a few minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. This condo is perfect for a group of four. We watched the whales every morning from the lanai, incredible! There were turtles in the rocky beach right behind the condo and the pool and hot tub were nice. Our snorkel tour to Molokini crater departed from the harbor just down the street, convenient bonus. Close to restaurants and gas station, lovely view. Too many good things to list.

The location is great! A little small for 3 adults and 2 kids. Bedrooms are on the small side. The upstairs bathroom was extremeley snall. I think it was 2 ft by 2 ft. Overall, we had a great time. The view is spectacular! Except, for the spider webs, loved the place. Mahalo for a lovely place!

This place is absolutely breathtaking. The view alone in the balcony is worth every penny. The size of the place was perfect for our family of 5. The location was perfect as it was in the middle of all the places we wanted to see. There is a nice beach just a 5 minute walk from the place. Kevin and Todd respond very quickly if when we had questions and kept the process of moving in very easy from beginning to end. I would not hesitate to rent this place again when we come back to Maui.

Kevin was a great host, very responsive and the property was lovely! We arrived during a wildfire that closed the main highway, leaving us unable to get to the property we had booked. He quickly found us a very comfortable alternative condo that we could get to easily. We were then able to get to our original booking the next morning!

Some things that could have been better were the maintenance of the unit. There was a huge noise that the resident manager said was a turbine or something which made a noise all night long especially with high winds. Ear plugs did not help much. The water pressure and heat was not consistent. At times hot enough at 11:00 pm and enough pressure and others next to none. Also the downstairs bathroom sink drain seemed plugged but by morning seemed to drain ok. Dont know what was going on with that. There seemed

Everything was describe as listed except the snorkeling. Not a great idea to try. For us there was too many rocks atleast in our area of the beach! Also wish I was warned about the chairs and screen door on the deck. Could of been prior tenants of not letting the owner know. Thanks so much Kevin. Very nice property, everything was in order and working. Damaged chairs on lanai were replaced with the new ones. Views are incredible. We saw turtles from lanai every day and once saw a whale. Snorkeling from the little beach is somewhat difficult due to rocky bottom, but there are turtles there which makes it worth the effort. Communal grill downstairs was a big plus. Thanks, Kevin, we really enjoyed the vacation.

Beautiful view and spacious unit with a central location - you're right in the middle of Maui and can get to any town or beach with ease. The unit is somewhat dated (older furniture, bathroom needs a bit of work) but it's reflected in the price which is overall good value. It was our first visit to Maui and I have no regret choosing this place! The view was amazing to wake up to, and I was very excited to come back after sightseeing every night. Beach towels and beach chairs were helpful. Kevin was always prompt to answer my questions during the stay. Thank you very much and looking forward to coming back again.
