Overall - you get what you pay for. The sea, restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance. In some places it was uncomfortable because of the homeless people who hang around this beach, but, to be fair, they are chased away by security and police. Personally, I like silence, for me it is a bit noisy location. The apt itself looks good and clean,; because of the reviews we expected something more tired (:

Listing was accurate and is an amazing location due to the closeness of the beaches. However there was unfortunately someone sleeping in their car outside the patio the whole time we were there, which isn't an issue the slightest. We live in tough times, whatever anyone needs to do to get by we understand. But this individual was constantly looking up into our apartment and was peeing in public. We had to call the cops 2 times which they drove by, saw him there each time, but never did anything. It felt uncomfortable to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful location/view of this apartment.

A great holiday apartment. Perfect for a family with two children. There is a bedroom, a children's room with two beds and an open living room with kitchen. The balcony has a side view of the sea. Overall it was great! No complications at check-in/check-out. There was a good initial supply (toilet paper, soap, dishwasher tablets, pods for the washing machine, garbage bags...etc.) The pool area was also very good. Nice and clean and quiet.

We loved our stay at Kihei Garden Estates! The check-in process was well organized and easy for us, especially after a long travel day and arriving late at night. The unit was clean and stocked with a the necessities we needed for the week! The area was great, centrally located in Maui and close to so many great restaurants and beaches. There is a public beach literally across the street, and we really enjoyed spending time there watching sea turtles and seeing a few whale breaches! Also, the sunsets are amazing from there too!

We really enjoyed staying here with our 4 & 10 year old. The pool was the right size to enjoy on windy days, the beach was close enough that one parent could walk the kids there & the other could catch up later. Unit was stocked well for a week long stay, you'd have to replace dish soap & toilet paper if you stayed longer or had a bigger group. Groceries and coffee are within easy walking distance. If we didn't have excursions planned, we could have had a great trip without a rental vehicle. Taxi fare was $45 from the airport to the location. The beds were not our favourite (bit too soft). We let the property team know and I'm sure they'll be tuned up in no time.

The location of this condo was great. A walk along the beach in the morning, sunset just across the street, close grocery store with friendly locals (Times) close to all great Kihei beaches (5-15 min drive max), close to great restaurants, close to fruit stand/snorkel rental etc. The condo was in good shape. The AC didn't always seem to work perfectly in the second bedroom but with the ceiling fan it was comfortable enough. The odd thing wasn't in 100% shape, but all worked well enough. The garbage trucks do start driving by at 7am but that's when we get up, so it worked perfectly for us; never woken by traffic noise. The blackout blinds worked great in the second bedroom where our kids slept. We were very comfortable in the master. The pool area was lovely. The landscaping is beautiful. The staff on property were super friendly. The property manager was available promptly by email. We will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Was clean and easy to access at check in. Great location, close to lots and just a short drive tons! Would have liked to have gotten more toilet paper and paper towels. 4 rolls of tp and 2 paper towels isn't near enough for 5 guests for 12 days. Also only got enough towels for 4 guests- both beach and bath. Host was easy to contact and quick responses. I did appreciate them allowing us to opt out of pest control coming in the unit while we were staying there.

Here is what we liked: - Clear and detailed instructions, communiction with the host was simple and easy - The code lock is very convenient - no need to carry the keys - New appliances (refrigirator, TV, stove); in general it seems that the owner is trying to keep things in working condition Here is what we did not like: - While this apartment seems to be one of the better ones in the complex, the general feeling from the apartment and the whole complex is that everything is old and cheap. "Luxury" is an antonim of how we felt. - Lots of noise. There was a renovation going in the apartment below, and noise, dust, and booming forced us to spend as little time inside as we could. - The beach nearby is not very nice. We were driving every day to one of the better beaches (about 15 min drive). - For our party of five it felt quite crowded. Also, since there is only one bathroom, whenever we needed to take a shower after the beach it was a long process.

Lovely place with great amenities. We felt very comfortable. We didn't need the AC much with the great breezes, but there's a bit of noise most mornings, lots of nearby landscaping, birds and people going to beach. Pool/jacuzzi was lovely, and they have a LOT of rules! Used the grill at the pool as well, very nice set-up. Parking was easy. With resurfacing going on while we were there, they communicated well, and the options were convenient. Complex offered laundry, car wash, and outdoor foot wash/beach shower for us. Great location, a block from the beach with great restaurants nearby (We tried and recommend Peace Love Shave Ice, Nalu's, Nutcharee's Authentic Thai, and Fabiani's), 2 grocery stores in walking distance, and buy a shirt from Mi So Phat Sushi - they're marvelous! The provided beach chairs and cooler got lots of use. The neighborhood is a bit more real than other areas we saw in Kihei. We enjoyed some local characters and people watching, but felt safe at all times!

For not being on the beach itself, I can't imagine being closer than this place, which also has a pretty stunning view of the ocean from the balcony. The condo was well-equipped and clean, so we used it as a base of operations to go scuba diving in maui, or to go horseback riding. It met all of our needs.

The apartment was in an excellent location. From the balcony and great room we could see the ocean. The sunsets which we could see from the apt were absolutely gorgeous. The beach was steps away and sitting there and watching the sunset was bliss. The apt was a little old but perfectly fine for us. We chose to cook rather than eat out. The dishwasher didn't work properly which was a nuisance. We needed a few more wine glasses but we would rent that apt again and highly recommend it. The property management company always replied to questions immediately. We three friends were happy and relaxed.

Air-conditioning worked well in all the rooms, clean, new appliances, nice little balcony with sunset views. Location was perfect. Pool was great when we needed a break from the sand. Beach front views, 30 second walk to the shore. Shops and supermarket were all a minute or two away on foot. Rented a car and barely used it except for when we were exploring other parts of Maui. Highly recommend, great value, great location, easy access, abundant free parking in the parking lot of the community or public street parking. No interaction with management outside of the couple of emails during booking process, seamless check-in, seamless check-out.

Loved this place! The location is amazing, literally steps from the beach while also within walking distance of grocery store, restaurants, and shops. The beach is very calm and great for walking, which we did every morning with coffee in hand. Even saw a huge turtle on the sand one morning! It's also a fantastic beach for watching sunset. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, though the mattresses were extremely soft so might not work if you like a firm bed. Management was helpful and promptly responded to our issues, although one remained unresolved. Nevertheless, would happily stay here again.

Beautiful condo- it's SO close to the beach, you walk through the center of the property which is basically a botanical garden and cross the road and there you are- at one of the most spectacular beaches in Maui. The condo had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacation. Coffee maker, juicer, rice cooker… ice packs in the freezer. I even found a luggage scale in a drawer so I could weigh my bags before departing for the airport. I would highly recommend this unit- it is a killer value at this price.

Condo was a great size for the 4 of us with 2 adult size kids, clean, had everything we needed & we enjoyed the pool on windy afternoons. Firstly, awesome location. You have ocean view from the patio. Its under 3 min walking to beach. Home is kept very clean and very well equipped. Plenty of towels for going to beach and to the pool and beach chairs. They do come handy when going to watch sunset at the beach. Kitchen is also well stocked. Please is very near to all other places, 4 min drive to nearest Safeway and ABC store. Very near to Kihei downtown (Kamala Village). Great location within easy walking distance of beach, grocery stores, restaurants and flea market. A/C was not working in master bedroom throughout 2 week stay. Property mgmt was aware and failed to inform us prior to our arrival and did not provide anything other than initial response that they were trying to get a repair service out. No follow up at after that. Only other negative was that exhaust fan from A/C units exhausted hot air towards the patio seating instead of away from the patio seating. Overall we enjoyed our stay but property management needs to be more proactive and communicative.

This property has close proximity to the ocean, shopping and restaurants. Its corner unit location means you can enjoy the sunset over the Pacific from the lanai without paying beachfront prices. The pool in the complex was perfect for afternoon dips and the individual AC units helped cool down the apartment whilst saving energy. We did have an issue with the master AC unit and the light on the master fan came on unprompted when on the higher speed settings. Otherwise, everything was great!

This is a great condo within an excellent property and very centrally located in Kihei. The unit had all the bare necessities. The only recommendations to make it a bit better are plastic cups and dishes to have for bbq/pool/common area and a bit more beach gear. We had friends staying in another unit at the property and their unit was better equipped. Minor issue overall as the place is a great base to explore Kihei and all of Maui.

My wife and I stayed for 10 days with our 2 years old and had a wonderful stay. This unit is the best in the whole condo complex and is the perfect spot for exploring the island. The condo is in a Greta location, very quiet at night. The beds!! Super comfortable! The place is clean, the perfect size and offers all amenities. Homeless do come down to sleep on the beach at night but are harmless and never bothered us. Only reccomendation I would make would be to put window coverings on the slider wall as there is a bright light from across the street lighting up the living room. I would definitely stay again!

Amazing location right next to a quiet beach literally down the block! Located in the middle of everything, food, shops, and activities, but still extremely quiet and peaceful. We were able to get to all points of the island from here and tours were really easy to book from this location as well. The place was very well stocked with everything you would need for a beach trip! If you would like to do laundry during a longer stay, be sure to bring quarters. This beachfront stay in Maui is the absolute perfect location for a first timer in the island. Kihei has a little bit more of a nightlife (restaurants and bars) compared to the other towns and this airbnb was situated just minutes away from everything. The PERFECT location to stay at in Maui! It is directly behind the Times supermarket which as great poke and is surrounded by great food options. The beach right in front of the apt is perfect to watch sunsets as well, and eating on the balcony while the the sun is going down is sublime. The only issue we had was with small bugs like sand fleas around the bathroom region which was not much of a bother unless you hate bugs. Otherwise, great stay!

The view and being steps from a calm & beautiful beach are the reason to stay here.
Pros: -Perfect location -beautiful view -easy walk to various local stores for grocery, coffee, & food -easy to organize a crib rental service

The beach side corner unit condo was better than we had expected giving us a front seat view to sunsets every evening. Kevin and Todd responded to all our enquiries promptly and gave us many tips to make our visit and stay an absolute pleasure. The location of the condo has easy and close access to shopping, restaurants/food trucks, beach and a catholic church. We enjoyed our first trip to the island and surely hope this will not be our last. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay here! We could not have asked for a better spot for our first visit to Maui. The views were great. There is a beach steps away that is uncrowded and swimmable. The condo is light and bright, exceptionally clean, and within walking distance to stores, shops, parks, and restaurants. We even enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the evenings. The complex is well maintained and nicely landscaped. In all, a very good experience and we hope to return.

Outstanding place in a great location. Truly steps to the ocean and so many food and drink options within a short walk. Grocery store, gas even a laundry within a couple blocks yet spot is very quiet and seems secluded. Lots of areas to get your walking or running in and a nice public park less than a mile down the road with a playground for the kids tennis a skate park and great ocean side walking/running trail.

This is a fantastic location, centrally located with plenty of parking, and right across the street from the beach. Its under a 5m walk to a grocery store, an amazing coffee place, lots of shops, and and a few solid places to eat; There?s also some very nice restaurants within a 10m drive. This is a corner unit with a balcony you can see the ocean from; It was clean and well set up, with great internet and had some nice extras like beach chairs and towels.

Good host, good location, and good value, but there was a cockroach issue. Kevin quickly brought in cleaning staff and pest control to resolve the issue, and even offered us the opportunity to switch to another property. After choosing to remain and despite Kevin's best efforts, the pest situation was not solved by the time we left. We would have enjoyed our stay if there wasn't a pest issue.

This place is a dream. The location is PERFECT, both in terms of on the island and in proximity to the beach. Beach chairs and towels are provided. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was very modern. The hot tub and pool on site are nice, although you'll probably spend most of your time in the ocean and won't want to use them. Kevin was easy to communicate with and everything was just easy and relaxing.

I loved this placed for the price. For a Kihei condo with a view of the beach it?s amazing. Downsides would be there is a lot of traffic because you are basically next to the parking area but it?s a small beach, mostly local traffic, done and quiet by 9 maybe 10pm. It was disturbing just something I noticed. They beach was never busy and there are turtles there every night. I feel like we met a lot of nice locals because this beach is quieter. Lovely home! We stayed as a group of 5 adults and 1 infant. Although not baby friendly, we were able to make it work. Kevin was very quick with answering any questions we had. The location couldn?t have been any more perfect! We were so close to the beach and it had an amazing view of the sunset. We took advantage of this and saw the sun setting two nights in a row, it was beautiful. The place had a great location and easy to communicate with host.
The only issue was the description had stated 2 double beds, but were 2 twin beds which made it somewhat difficult because one of us had to share the twin bed with a toddler. Also the bathroom needed a deep clean.

This condo is perfectly located. The beach is just a few footsteps from the door and many of the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The accommodations were lovely and very clean. We thoroughly loved staying here even though we were out every day. The beach is not beach facing directly but there is a sea view from the lanai, which we used to have breakfast. The beach is a good one for families and this was important for us because we had a 3 and 8 year old. The supermarket is close by, you could walk. Kihei is perfectly located to get to any part of the island. I couldn?t ask for a better location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kihei, the apartment was really conveniently located, with a view of the mountains and the beach, not far from the airport, and just a walk away from a lot of restaurants and good coffee shops. Great location - 1 minute walk to the shoreline! Amble parking near the unit.
All amenities were as expected from reading the description, though laundry was in a communal space and requires $1.25 in quarters for each machine - would've been good to know this ahead of time. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the fridge has an ice maker in the freezer!

This was exactly what we were looking for. Cozy but nice home base for our little family?s Maui trip. Convenient location you are walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants (we recommend Nalu!), totally secluded beaches and there?s a great local ?baby beach? just five minutes north - where we saw turtles every day.
